Yes I remember the commercials, all I can speak to is that in the early seventies there were a boatload of of women and girls working at McD's, as a matter of fact my entire counter crew in the mornings to early afternoon were Mom's, funny how that changed too!
As a matter of fact before I went to McD I ran Lindy's Cafe at Knott's right across from the brand new Corkscrew roller coaster in the brand new Roaring 20's section and all my kids there were of the untanned persuasion too! I am getting friggin old, took my grandson to Knott's two years ago and very little of what I remember is left.

When I was a kid we went to Knott's before there was an admission charge, you just paid for rides. Once they put the gates up and started charging to get in my parents never took us back. I heard back then that they had to do that to keep the hippies out.
