Here is a map from the WHO that shows the incidence of measles infections. Here is a map and data regarding vaccination rates by country over time.

So according to the political WHO, these desperately poor countries have eradicated measles. However they have sent us the enterovirus D-68 that has killed 12 children in the US when measles has killed none. And let's not forget scabies.

Makes one wonder what the MSM is up to and why...........

0 deaths due to measles? You should be praising the vaccine instead of trying to discredit it.

In the early 80's, measles killed more than 2.5 million people every year. That's a lot of dead children. Thanks to the vaccine, and the efforts to get kids vaccinated before their first birthday, there are only about 150,000 deaths from measles every year. That's still a lot of dead kids.

Good thing some people got hysterical about the measles vaccine back in the 80's. Now measles is back because the dumbing down of America has accelerated - no thanks to open border advocates and anti-vaxers.

The evidence of that is weak as well.

You're missing the point. The press is stoking hysteria while people like you are reacting emotionally to it. Why are they pushing this? See Post 12. They tried to do the same a year ago. Why?

I’m just giving you the stats from the CDC. I agree it’s nothing to panic about. But your picture you posted is not correct. There was one death in 22004 and one in 2005. Given the number of people that contracted measles those years, that corresponds to the pre-vaccine death rate. Per theHHS website, since 1989 there were 57 deaths and approx 950 injuries from the MMR vaccine reported to the VAERS. Now, of those, approx 1/3 had enough evidence to link the death or injury to the vaccine and be compensated. What I cannot find is the breakdown of compensated deaths and compensated injuries.

Oh no it’s not. But if you want to buy Obama propaganda via the MSM you are free to do so. Sites like FR will continue to expose the MSM as Obamabots. We had many reports from border guards about what they were seeing and they were being told to be silent.

There were NOT 150,000 deaths per year from measles in the US prior to the vaccine. There were 300 -500 deaths per year in the 10 years prior to the vaccine (1952-1962) in the US. Based on the total number of people that got the disease per year that works out to a death rate of 0.017%. Additionally there was a 0.03% rate of serious injury.

I only find one measles death and it was 2003.

See Link in Post 12

The CDC's Dr. Anne Schuchat: There has been no measles deaths reported in the U.S. since 2003.

What is this supposedly strong evidence re: Enterovirus D-68?

Why don't you do some research? I did.

Nevermind.

CDC Enterovirus D68 in the United States, 2014

EV-D68 was detected in specimens from 14 patients who died and had samples submitted for testing.

It is unfortunate for us that the press has become a political activist arm of DC. You can't trust them.

I’ve done research. The only bit of evidence I’ve seen is an article in the Virology journal that found high incidence of Enteroviruses generally (not just the D-68 strain) in Central American kids who presented with flu-like symptoms. That’s hardly surprising - enteroviruses are common everywhere, and are a common cause of flu-like symptoms.

There were border guards speaking out about the very ill children being allowed in the US and put on buses. The guards didn’t know what cities they were being sent to and they were not examined by doctors. They had flu-like symptoms. The guards were told to be silent. Then we had an outbreak. No curiosity on the part of the press. But, BOY!, are they pushing the measles meme. Curious.

That’s about the dumbest reply I’ve ever seen on this website, thanks for killing some of my brain cells.

Of course I know that. It's congregants like you who can't stand the sound of a baby that force other church goers to either stay home or put their child in some form of care.

God, and Jesus, never complained about a child's noise. That was my point.

And where did I do that?

Please. That meaningless graphic was posted (#16) in an attempt to discredit the vaccine. It was created to make people believe there is more risk from the vaccine than not taking the vaccine....otherwise known as an agenda.

Not in the US there's not. And where did you get those figures?!

I never said those figures were from the US. They are global. The point is, the vaccine works and the reason we have so few measles infections in this country is because the vaccine creates herd immunity.

You're missing the point.

Right. The point is that the vaccine works and only stupid parents don't get their children vaccinated. The numbers tell the story. You can choose to ignore them but that just reinforces my point.

The press is stoking hysteria while people like you are reacting emotionally to it.

The press tries to create hysteria? Say it ain't so! I'm so glad you told me. You act surprised that the media does what the media does. The only emotional ones here are those who deny the facts, and the conclusion that the vaccine works and prevents needless suffering while saving millions of lives, mostly among children under five, every year.

In 2014, we had the highest incidence of measles since 2000 when measles was declared eradicated in the U.S.

Yeah, when a disease that was though to be eradicated returns, I guess it's worthy of some attention. This year is worse. I see a pattern. Open borders combined with anti-vaxer idiocy has consequences.

By the way, your little graphic is nonsense. There have been deaths in the US from measles over the past 10 years, but who cares about accuracy when there is an agenda to pursue? You also seem to be impressed with a system of reporting adverse reactions to vaccines that is voluntary and where no one follows up on the accuracy. I'm sure no one would report anything to this system that wasn't true, right? Why would anyone be surprised by so few deaths from a disease during a time that it had been declared eradicated? All this positive information is because of the vaccine. Why won't the anti-vaxers admit it?

Never said there were.

Before the vaccine, millions of Americans would be infected by measles every year. Needless death and suffering was stopped thanks to the vaccine. It's a shame measles didn't remain eradicated. The dumbing down of American marches on.
