Moscow (AFP) - Russia on Thursday warned the United States against sending weapons to Ukraine, saying such action would cause "colossal damage" to ties between the former Cold War foes.
Moscow is "seriously concerned" by discussions in the West about possible arms supplies to Ukraine which is battling a pro-Kremlin insurgency, said foreign ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich.

Screw the Russians! They’re sending all sorts of weapons and men into Ukraine and this BS of theirs just means they’re afraid of what US weaponry can do to their junk.

I’m trying to imagine this country going to war with a country like Russia, when we can’t even secure our own lawless violent chaotic borders, at a time when most Americans have lost all trust in their own government.
If we had any real leadership we’d send ground troops and missile shield to the Baltic states.

Considering this government, I’m surprised they can get anyone to join the military nowadays.
I’m trying to imagine if we ever get into a war with the likes of Russia, this corrupt government starting a draft and sending out orders for hundreds of thousands of young people to report for duty.
Kind of like with the Stinger missiles in Afghanistan. It was bad for the Soviet/Putinstaners.

An interesting analogy made yesterday is that the US arming Ukraine to would be like Russia arming Mexico to take back Texas.
Obama’s goal is to hurt the military from every possible direction, and destroy their morale to the point no GOOD kid would join it.

US Media always seems to be 48-72 hours behind the event curve with this Ukraine thing. The idea that we will supply weapons to Kiev (at least overtly) pretty much died yesterday morning.
Sometime between the time Kerry got on the plane for Europe Wed. night, and yesterday morning, something happened that caused the administration to start walking back the rhetoric.
Merkel and Hollande did not even bother to tell the Obama Administration they were going to present a peace plan on the same day. It was a total surprise.
I told my nephew who starts ROTC this fall that at least he’ll have a new CIC when he graduates.
Not only going to war with Russia but right in their back yard. All they have to do is cross the border into Ukraine. We have to transport troops over there. It would probably be all over before we got there.
