Libertarians hold that stealing and murder are violations of rights against which it is government's proper role to act - ditto for at least the kind of lying that constitutes fraud.
Seems pretty reasonable. Does this look like civilization to you?
You really can’t get any true liberty without basing it on a faith in God. A philosophy, however noble sounding, will not do, because it is just words without a speaker.
Nope. They are not even fiscally conservative. Every single dope-peddling liberal supporting legalization will brag and boast about the added tax revenue that legal pot brings.
When reminded that more taxes leads to more spending which leads to bigger government - they say nothing. What can they say?
Except that we conservatives should be shot in a duel and have our asses kicked.
It’s ugly... the devil is making sport of these people.
And the devil still would make sport of them if they had no drugs to consume. At least this way it is obvious.
Who the hell are you to question why Im here. Just like CF is a retread troll thats been zotted before, I might remind you that YOU YOURSELF - due to your pro-pedophilia posts once got the zot yourself. But you re-registered and came back.
I will not back down. Even though this place is now a libertarian hot mess supporting drugs, euthanasia, sodomy, I will not be silent.
I was asking an honest question based on the comments you made.
And your constant use of the word “libertarian” to describe people here is perplexing to me. I understand your frustration with the world not going your way since Obama was elected. I feel the same way, but for me (and mabye for you) it’s been going on for decades. Heck, in the early 90’s I used to say that I feel like a jew in early 1930’s Germany.
But the Lord will prevail. In the meantime I want the FedGov the heck out of our lives. This issue is one of those areas they need to quit wasting resources on.
According to some people, suggesting there are limits to their personal experience is illegitimate "abstaction."
And this is what a "straw man" looks like.
From my experience, people smoking weed don't have to worry about losing their job. They don't have one... well, except that one drug dealer I know, but he works on commission so he doesn't have to worry about getting fired.
What he has to worry about is paying for all those fines he has accumulated for driving without a license and driving without insurance, etc. He owes about $4,000.00 (including what he owes his lawyer) and I just don't think he's moving enough product to keep up with his bills.
He's one of the reasons I can truthfully say that "Weed makes you stupid."
There was no war on drugs before Prohibition. The country prospered.
I believe you include me in "dope-peddling liberals supporting legalization" - but I've never bragged nor boasted about the added tax revenue that legal pot brings.
And I invite you as well to put forth an example of a nation that was better off without a war on drugs.
And what makes you think I’m talking about ALL drugs?
Meth is a serious problem where I live. I think they should bring the hammer down on that. It really DOES destroy lives.
Marijuana doesn’t, any more than alcohol. And we all know what prohibition brought us, right? BTW, I live in Cornbread Mafia territory. The book is very interesting.
Poppies and Coca can grow on people's land too. Do you have any problem with people smoking any of that?
Not means but priorities as to what we think is “good”. I put a VERY high value on the rights and freedom of the individual, as did our founding fathers. This includes one’s right to be the town drunk.
Then at the close of the interview, he acknowledged his support for common core and Jeb Bush.
At that point, I disregarded any point the man had previously made during the interview.
One Evil does not justify another Evil.
I personally find the idea of paying for drug addicts far more objectionable than the idea of paying for junk food junkies.
Drug addicts constitute a far greater threat to my family.
Nah...light it on fire.
One Evil does not justify another Evil.
Nobody's "justifying" anything - just pointing out that using EBT for anything else not needed for survival is as much a harm to the taxpayer as using EBT to buy pot, so your harm-of-pot argument proves too much.
If you were a teen during that period, there is a study that says it causes permanent brain damage in teens.
I had a friend that smoked the stuff in high school. I met him in Electronics class, and am still good friends with his brother. He told me he was going to give up that stuff forever after he turned 18, but he didn't. He never quit. He lives in Denver working as a janitor, and I do electronic engineering.
He's not the only "Failure to launch" i've seen from all the people i've known who smoked weed. His nephew is also a worthless bum, still currently living with mommy.
What a waste.
