Either that statistic is bogus, or, well, that statistic is bogus.

"What about men’s heart health? Do we just ignore them”

All the attention on heart disease historically was on men. The medical studies were focused on men. It’s because women were ignored, that they came up with this day.

You sound like you actually believe that nonsense

1 in 3 women die of heart disease and stroke every year?

Do these people even read what they write?

” Since 1 in 3 women die of heart disease and stroke every year, the American Heart Association started the day to help spread the word that heart disease is 80 percent preventable.”

Good grief! When did this start happening? Does Laz know we’ll be out of women in three years?

Glad to see other RED Friday people here! A friend told me about RED Friday’s when my son deployed. His unit was recalled early in November, we are glad to have him home, but we still remember all our men and women who aren’t home!

It’s because women were ignored
You mean the housewives who outlived their husbands by 15 years?

If you don’t wear red today you hate women and want them to die.

I don't own anything red, is it OK if I just cut myself and bleed for the cause? I love women, but where are the big national campaigns for men's diseases and why aren't they promoted at the same level? Are we teaching our children that the value of a mans life is less? Let the party begin!

If there were 100 women left on earth at the beginning of a year and 1/3 of them died that year. Next year there would be 66.666..... women. Hate to be that .666..... woman.

"What about men's heart health? Do we just ignore them; let them drop dead?"

And if not quickly enough, the womens' advocates would help them along...

Married men are reputed to live longer, but I maintain it just SEEMS longer!

Since 1 in 3 women die of heart disease and stroke every year...

Wow! I didn't know it was as bad as that. Three years and we're pretty much out of women and I don't have to shave or change my underwear anymore. There has to be a downside, though...
