No, you're not wearing rose-colored glasses. People are wearing a lot of red today, and they're posting #GoRedForWomen selfies.

It's the 12th annual National Wear Red Day, which takes place the first Friday in February to raise awareness for women's heart health. Since 1 in 3 women die of heart disease and stroke every year, the American Heart Association started the day to help spread the word that heart disease is 80 percent preventable.

I'm wearing red today - and it has nothing to do with women... unless they're Veterans or active duty military.

We wear red on Fridays - every Friday - as a tribute to the military, past and present.

This pink and red stuff is ridiculous.... and based on a false premise that society (men) do not care about women's health unless attention is brought to the issue!.

Take to school the defending superbowl champions.

Four days later, lose to the winless Oakland Raiders.

Classic Chiefs.

Rule one of Chiefs Football: We can always beat the Seahawks, not matter how good they are or how bad we are.

I’m designing a ribbon for the next ‘cause’ that comes along. Since all of the colored ribbons are co-opted, my ribbon is going to be clear and covered in pet hair.

Who wants in on the bottom floor on this? I’m looking for venture capital. ;)

Yeah, that’s quite a statistic. I can just see them crashing to the ground all around us. Better wear red today, it will help.

1 in 3 women die of heart disease and stroke every year?

Seems odd that 1/6 of the adult population of the United States dies from heart disease and stroke every year. Seems rather high dontcha think? And it goes higher when adult males are added in to the equation. Probably as high as 1/3 of the adult population dead from heart disease and stroke. I think I must call BS.

What’s sad is after beating Seattle and New England and going 7-3 they lost to Raider and went downhill. The losses to Tennessee and Oakland hurt. Had the team won just those two games they would have been in playoffs at 11 and 5.

It’s in honor of Ronald Reagan’s birthday since Nancy said his favorite color was red.

EVERY OTHER DAY IS ABOUT MEN.

EVERY OTHER MONTH IS WHITE HISTORY MONTH.

YOUR PROSTATE IS NOT AS MUCH FUN AS HER BREASTESTES.

Don’t you have some white man guilt to take care of?

I have this red polo semi casual dress shirt. I guess I wore it a couple of times during budget season one year. I must have been in a cranky mood.

I found out years later that every time I wore that shirt, the word went out on the floor that I was in a horrible mood, and that the women should stay clear of my office. (I managed mostly women on the floor...I guess the men didn’t notice if I was in a bad mood or not.)

It was a Red Shirt day.

I loved that shirt. It was so comfortable. Had I known it would have kept people out of my office, I would have worn it every day.
