#59 – Vangelis: “Chariots of Fire”

With a name like Evangelos Odysseas Papathanassiou, no wonder he shortened it. He had started out in the psychedelic Sixties, but teamed up with John Anderson of Yes for his first significant success. His big break with the soundtrack of this film permitted him to write more soundtracks for movies and TV. Like Brahms, he smoked at the piano.
