While in high school, he was a volunteer firefighter for three years at the Middletown Township Fire Department
That would have been in the mid 70s and I don't recall any high schoolers being real volunteer firefighters. Maybe he tagged along with his dad but that would be the extent. Of more interest is he attended 3 colleges but only completed 18 hours.
