The way to prevent war is to allow Russia and China to unite to become the dominate force on earth?
If the US fails, and it’s doing a pretty good job of it at present, then, sadly, yes.
I should perhaps expand on my last post. If the US fails, ie., becomes a 2nd rate player in defense matters on the level of present day Russia, then I give a Russia - China axis a maybe 20% chance of becoming dominant enough to prevent a very significant nuclear war, down the line.
Obviously, that sort of Russia - China dominance is a very lousy scenario. It’s just not as bad as a nuclear war, especially if considerable fallout drifts to the US.
Just as obviously, one would hope, no sane FReeper (etc.) wants the US to fail, except maybe for Putin paid trolls or other Putinistas. But many here, in Washington, and in Europe, exhort weak policies which will take the world “there”.
