They still have to get them passed by the states. A vast majority of the states are controlled by Republicans. They can propose anything. It is most likely that more conservative amendments would pass the amendment process considering the disparity in the Dem Rep make up of the state legislatures.

Leaving things as they are is not an option.

Agree. And overturning the 17th changes EVERYTHING! The big cities would no longer control the Senate!!!

If you don't think the back room deals have already started, you're wrong. And on top of that, you're putting your faith in the GOP to stop the leftists. That WON'T happen. Go ahead. Y'all are just all about this Article V idea and, in the end, it's WILL bite you on the a$$. But you don't need to believe me. You'll see it soon enough.
