I don't mind that he dropped out of college. I don't insist that my President be an Ivy Leaguer. There are a million plausible explanations that could actually resonate with plenty of voters.

However, there are about a third of the population that might raise their eyebrows a bit (those with college degrees), so Walker needs a reasonable explanation for not having one. Not some long, contrived sob story, but a reasonable explanation. This needs to be done early. And then he needs to move on to bigger and better issues.

Has he ever claimed otherwise? The key problem would only be if he has claimed a degree he doesn’t actually have. Beyond that, it’s not necessarily a big deal. It’ll hurt him but if he’s clever he can get past it.

During college Walker worked part-time for IBM selling warranties on mainframe computers. His IBM job led to a full-time position in marketing and fundraising at the American Red Cross from 1990 to 1994.”

Sounds like he left because he got a job that he was good at.
