Claiming that thousands of public comments condemning dark money in politics cant be ignored, the Democrat-chaired Federal Election Commission on Wednesday appeared ready to open the door to new regulations on donors, bloggers and others who use the Internet to influence policy and campaigns.
During a broad FEC hearing to discuss a recent Supreme Court decision that eliminated some donor limits, proponents encouraged the agency to draw up new funding disclosure rules and require even third-party internet-based groups to reveal donors, a move that would extinguish a 2006 decision to keep the agencys hands off the Internet.

Trying to get this one to the USSC.
They will have full control of these nets by the time he is out of office I think. They cannot have us getting the real info and spreading it as well. :(
Court smack down in 3.. 2.. 1..
Be nice if it was accompanied by a nice contempt of court charge.
That is why I suspect this will land up in the USSC’s lap.
Now a days, that isn’t a happy thought.
They are really touching a third rail here. This, the regulation of websites, is something that a public-schooled younger person can understand - and fight against.
The internet is driving them nuts, and they’ve got to get it under their control.
SCOTUS ain’t gonna do squat.
They already showed their hand on homo marriage
Aww, heck, if the rumored ideas are right, Jim would be required to submit every donors full name and occupation. Sure that liberal playgrounds like DailyKos and D’Underground would be exempt.

Political internet web sites ( like FR) do not force themselves on people. You have to seek them out by a web search.
This sounds very unconstitutional.
If this tyrannical gov’t continues to have their way; Gitmo will be emptied of islamic terrorists and filled with U.S. citizens deemed Blog enemies of the State and housed as political prisoners absent rights or any legal recourse.
Only the spilling of blood is going to stop the onslaught I’m afraid. Their incessant march on freedom and removal of protections is getting way beyond tiring and agitation.
I recall years ago the cockiness of the Clinton crowd as they ballyhooed how they would control the conversation with regards to the internet. Today the left is running scared, and dangerous as they fight to push their message.
I have a feeling some particularly personal nasty details of the actors involved is about to come out on the Internet soon the closer they get to setting up Operation Net BiasControl. I think they are already setting up the pieces to make it operational without getting the goahead. I think they will implement it and just not tell anyone even though they’ll start noticing changes pretty soon. Thats just the way these guys rolll. They don’t need no stinkin permission!
Am I missing something?
Jerks who will use the information to ruin your life.
Probably not, since FR is an LLC and not a 501c3 or 4.
