U.S. Embassy Marines in Yemen handed over their M-9 pistols and M-4 carbines before evacuating the chaotic country with diplomatic personnel, the Pentagon said Wednesday.
The Marines also left behind several vehicles at the airport in the capital city of Sanaa before departing on a civilian flight, said Army Col. Steve Warren, a Pentagon spokesman.

Hey, just like Jimmy Carter and the Iranian Embassy! I’m surprised they aren’t all in a basement somewhere.
It is my hope that the departing Marines were good representatives of diversity, with the proper mix of gays, transsexuals, Hispanics, blacks, Aleuts and led by a woman, fleeing in low CO2 emitting vehicles.

Should I be proud our Marines destroyed their weapons in an environmentally friendly way?
I will bet the Marines were thinking on their way out.... “I am working for a bunch of crazy fools”.
How the hell should I know what really happened? I only posted that press release for everyone’s information. I never claimed to know what went on there.

Not fussing at you, just skeptical of what we are told. I don’t think we clearly know what happened in the chain of command at Benghazi yet.
I understand your frustration. I am also tired of this administration getting away with everything and no one in Congress has the balls to stop them.
My apologies for my reaction - I misinterpreted your post as a personal attack but realize now that it was not. You were just expressing your frustration at the situation.
