Exactly. Figure out some disorder that makes him say stuff that further immerses him in the story and blur fact and fiction. Use that a reason why he shouldn't report news. Maybe he could write a few novels with a background of recent events.

My question goes deeper. If the "news" outlets want to clean up their act, they need fact checkers to clear anything before it's presented.
