I wish I would have known. I would have invited them to come and heat my yard.
I call BS...23 yrs ago global cooling was the fear!...and how in the hell do u heat an entire meadow??
BS meter just blew breaker.
Dear stupid “scientists”,
What do greenhouses do for plants grown inside them?
Sincerely,
Not Fooled
There has been global temperature change for BILLIONS of years. And it is NOT man-made. Let the idiots and fools “warm” and “cool” the earth.
Why did God create Democrats??? Most likely to make conservative thinkers look even better...
Interesting. Perhaps Leftists really do believe in the global warming myth, or at least a substantial amount of them do. Since Leftists are interested in the wholescale destruction of America, it makes perfect sense that these eggheads attempted to destroy the ecosystem.
It makes me wonder if the global warming myth has deterred Leftists (to some degree) from attempting to enact other plans to destroy America. If they are preoccupied with ineffective stunts such as putting heaters in meadows, this means less of them are devoted to programs which are actually dangerous, such as importing Muslims into the United States.
Knock me over with a feather! I grew up in Eastern North Dakota where the soil was rich and deep. Here in SW Pennsylvania, it is poor and woody. Of course, there are areas close to us where farmers cleared the wood, planted corn and found out it yields sweet corn of almost equal quality to what we grew in eastern North Dakota when I was a boy.
It is the trees which are the culprit, I tell you! Cut them down and plant corn . . . or alpine flowers.
There is nothing to conclude here.
There’s no doubt that heat islands can affect local microclimates. Inversion layers trap particulates over cities and change the local weather by increasing precip.
But to extrapolate those isolated short term events into large scale drivers is ridiculous. Small perturbations can sometimes lead to large scale changes in fluid systems but it’s temporary.
So it proves nothing about so called “climate change”.
Perhaps someone could inform the rest of us who paid for the energy for twenty-three years for this experiment?
Wondering how the heat from those suspended heating elements was captured? How was the heat kept in the valley with natural breezes, and natural air movement?
My ACME catalogue BS meter alarm is going nuts.
Even if there were changes, how do you know what would have happened if there were no heaters? That there was “change” does not prove cause and effect. The results could have been identical if there were no heaters.
I can’t imagine that these heaters made any difference. It is like trying to heat my house with a tiny cake candle. They do know there’s this thing called “wind” right? ...they might also want to look up “the Sun”, I think it might play a part.
I swear, some of these studies are purely political tools to preach idiocy to the masses. I’m sure I’ll have somebody on Facebook post a stupid pic on this...like I just had the other day, that the sea level was rising in the “Florida area”!! ...just Florida, not elsewhere in the connected oceans of the world. I pointed out there’s plate tectonics to think about, land masses are not static. It scares me how many don’t have any critical thinking skills at all...they just swallow the meme, then think they know what “the facts” are. Astonishing.
That’s ok, there are millions of kids running in and out leaving doors open and air conditioning the whole outdoors. And husbands who never shut the freezer door.
Forest fires ‘heat’ too. The ‘Brian Williams eco frauds’ should destroy the land. It’s cheaper than heaters...
Burn it to the ground.
Burn in the name of mega liberal delusion...show the world. Then eco liars can turn to the press and say, ‘dead bodies will float by on the black layers of charred carbon if we don’t get massive funding...”
Could work .. the press is dumb enough. Has anyone ever met a reporter who could do math?
If you do the math, it works out to about two 60 watt light bulbs over each of the five 322 sq-ft areas, each about the size of a single car garage. The total electric bill for all of these plots works out to $13,000 total, over the entire period, or $500 per year, $100 per plot per year. The sun’s energy beating on these plots averages about 340 watts per square meter(averaging over a year). The light bulbs, about 4 watts per square meter.
