Thanks for the info C. I never dreamed that our Marines would have in place, and possibly be forced to observe, a procedure that directed them to bash their own personal carry rifles to pieces with sledgehammers. (I can see some ‘retreating’ type SOP’s for ‘em if that situation became a prudent call yeah, but NOT the bashing of their own weapons to pieces. Damn!!!)
Like in Yemen...where they supposedly destroyed their weapons and left the mangled parts at the airport....
Seems to that's just some good high tensile steel to use in IED's by the enemy.
