An Iraq War veteran says the IRS extorted him and left him no money to run his small business.

Navy veteran Andrew Clyde, owner of Clyde Armory in Georgia, explained on tonight’s “On The Record” that the IRS seized nearly $1 million from him back in April 2013 due to a federal program which allows the IRS to seize assets over suspected criminal activity.

Clyde said two IRS agents showed up with a seizure warrant and took $940,313 from the company bank account. They accused him of “structuring,” or frequently depositing sums under $10,000, since deposits above $10,000 must be reported to the federal government. …

The IRS...

No, some PERSON made a decision. When stuff like this is done, said PERSON's home address should be published, so that someone might drop by and pay them a friendly visit.

This country doesn't need a civil war. This country needs pest control.

Agreed. You can almost always determine who it was from within the bureaucracy who actually made the decision, or at least signed off on it. These days, tracking people down isn't really very hard at all.

IRS is fast becoming a target for a RICO suit.

Nixon:
Well, when the president does it that means that it is not illegal.

Is now:
Well, when the government does it that means that it is not illegal.

I am not pleased.

And "conservative" anti-drug zealots put in the governmental arsenal this powerful weapon the left could pick up once they got in office.

One cannot be a Constitutionalist and support the War on Drugs.

Well, assuming you're familiar with Sword of Truth, it's rather like the D'Haran Devotion:

Master Republican guide us. Master Republican teach us. Master Republican protect us. In your light we thrive. In your mercy we are sheltered. In your wisdom we are humbled. We live only to serve. Our lives are yours.

It’s not a perfect system - but a system that if followed one will not have to worry about the IRS coming in and seizing anything...

It's not a perfect system a system that shouldn't exist in a free society.

No it shouldn’t...our Revolution was about unfair and unneeded taxes...somewhere the greedy little slimes got back in and devised it...We should have our own treasury - not the damn Reserve - and go back to minting money that actually stands for what it says...never ship jobs over seas - and become energy dependent...but with the bunch in office now - I mean ALL of them...I doubt very seriously if we will ever be that way again...

I have never made a deposit of over $10k. By your logic, the IRS should legitimately be able to come and seize anything and everything that I own, basically. Do you see a hole in your logic here? Even a little one?

Thank you.
You might also like this rendition of the 23rd Psalm…
Psalms, Chapter 23 (HERS):
1 The Party is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 They maketh me to lie down in green cards: and leadeth me beside the turbulent waters.
3 They restoreth my soul: they leadeth me in the paths of The Party for their pride's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of statism, I will fear no evil: for they art with me; their lesser of two evils, they comfort me.
5 They preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies, terrorists & invaders: they anointest my head with urine; my poisoned cup surely runneth over.
6 Surely humiliation and spite shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Republican Party for ever.
(I was told it was rather blasphemous, but can you think of anything else that adequately describes the religious devotion of the you have to vote GOP-types?)

Ray, FairTax is only the first step in bringing our government back under the control of We the People.

We can do this, but it will not be easy.

It was not easy for our Founding Fathers, but they did it.

If they could, we can!

No - not by my logic...from this point on - go in and make even amount deposits...no deposits like $3,321.54 or $8,477.03 from one week to another...start making deposits like $7,500 one week - then in two days make another deposit like $9,500 - and keep that pattern up with even amounts...and see how long it takes for the IRS and banking employees to take notice on structuring payments.

I was just part of a large banks anti-money laundering/counter terrorism financing program set-up - these bank employees aren’t smart and the “system” and “software” they use will FLAG your activity and a SAR will be issued and the govt will be invited into your life.

I’m not saying this is right or wrong - it is the way it is - and the govt doesn’t trust its own Citizens and have put in place other mechanisms to expose criminal behavior. Do innocent people get caught up in this - YES! - But if you don’t understand the scenario I’ve just laid out - apparently you don’t make large deposits under 10K or have ever been informed by your bank about structuring payments. Might want to get another bank if so. I don’t have holes in my logic - I just state what I’ve been exposed to and saw the results of basically average people getting wasted by the IRS and having their lives turned up side down for doing something they had no idea they were doing and having some agent sit across from them looking to make a name for his under rated ego and unknown reputation...so - please go ahead - and don’t follow my logic...and see if you can slip through the holes!
