Regarding Hep B, you are at risk as a baby if your mother has it and gives birth to you. You can’t take the HIV, Hepatitis, or other blood/STD infectees at their word. They do a similar procedure with antibiotics in babies eyes, to make sure that in case a gonorrhea mom lied, the baby won’t have the gonorrhea germs dissolving their eyeballs.
That is why current OB/GYN’s test ALL pregnant mom’s for STD’s. In most cases they know their status before they give birth. Sure, if there is good reason, go ahead. There is not a good reason for most babies.
“”You cant take the HIV, Hepatitis, or other blood/STD infectees at their word. “”
That’s NEVER made any sense to me - why not do the blood test on the mothers?
They can test the *mom* for these things. There is NO justification to vaccinate every infant at birth for an STD.
