And during times of peace, more soldiers are killed in training accidents than by enemy action.

That’s why anyone who considers themselves a patriot should demand the abolition of the US military. Right?

The vaccine is still preferable to the alternative rill measles is eradicated the same as smallpox. If you want to stop the deaths, work to eliminate the disease rather than dragging heel and prolonging it.

+1!

Immunize the world and eliminate the disease from the planet, and once the disease is gone you can eliminate the vaccine.

100 deaths over a decade is 10 per year. Compared to? From the article: "However, by 1955, with advances in medicine and huge progress in sanitation, nutrition, and living standards, those rates steadily declined from 1900 levels by almost 98 percent to a mere 0.03 deaths per 100,000. The vaccine was introduced in 1963, and by then, measles was almost a non-problem in the developed world."

So let's do some math for the anti-vax morons in the audience. The current population of the US is 320,206,000, divided by 100,000, times 0.03 deaths per, equals: 96 deaths per year.

So, 96 deaths a year due to lack of a vaccine? A "non-problem", but 100 deaths due to a vaccination? A HUGE problem!

Now, that said, I think the anti-vaxxers should be allowed to not vaccinate their children. But I also think that any public and private place should have the right to refuse admittance to anyone who cannot prove they have been vaccinated. Let Darwin rule! Let the stupid people sacrifice their own offspring to their alter of paranoia! For the log-term sake of mankind, let the stupid people off themselves.
