One of the funniest comedy pieces ever performed (and a great way to discover if somebody is a liberal or a conservative) was Sam Kinison's bit about the hungry Africans trying subsist in the desert. Kinison advised the starving people that maybe the desert was not a great place to find or grow food.

Kinison's bit was about as anti-liberal p.c. as you could possibly get. It would have been interesting to find out the political affiliations of his audience. I'll bet many supposedly lib people found themselves laughing at Kinison's hysterically funny routine. But I'll bet quite a few libs were upset that Kinison would mock a group of people deemed by libs to be beyond mocking.

The only thing liberals find funny is generally dicing viciously on someone else, even other liberals.

I was sadly invited at a liberal bar at an arts college, and every time a song came up, instead of enjoying it, they would scream with fists in the air as if it was some kind of smashing victory. It would habe been a mistake to try to have fun and be nice indeed... Or in fact seen as inapropriate. i was floored.

The Friday Silliness Thread,
Pookie’s Toons, and

“Caption This”

Are BRILLIANT! hahahahahahaa

Also the remarks on The GGG and APOD Daily Threads are off-the-cuff, unrehearsed, and very very funny in an egg-head sort of way!

If you don’t laugh at Flip Wilson and his ugly baby story you are missing your funny bone.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_6vhgSAhuI I know he could not tell a joke like that on T.V. today someone might be offended.

Give me the old timers like Red Skelton and Jack Benny any day

Yep. Those guys had real talent.

They used to make great movies too without having to use all the cursing and vulgarity.

Real comics are hard to come by. Seems to me from the various times I have tried to watch or listen to various comedy acts, the comedian just has to throw the F word out and the adult audience will roar with laughter. Vulgarity, crudness, and profanity are a staple of these current entertainers. I guess the performers know their audience and what it takes to get a laugh from them.
