State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf, after coming under fire for suggesting a way to fight the Islamic State and all terrorism is by creating jobs, has an answer for her critics: Her argument is just "too nuanced" for them to understand.
Harf, in TV interviews Tuesday night, stood by her original remarks and said she was speaking about a comprehensive approach to combating "extremism."
Harf said that means airstrikes in the short-term, and going after "root causes" like poor economic conditions in the long-term.
"Longer term, we cannot kill every terrorist around the world, nor should we try," Harf said on CNN. "How do you get at the root causes of this? Look, it might be too nuanced an argument for some, like I've seen over the past 24 hours some of the commentary out there, but it's really the smart way that Democrats, Republicans, military commanders, our partners in the Arab world think we need to combat this."
Harf went on to say the approach doesn't fit "into a sound bite," when asked to respond to the intense criticism, on social media and elsewhere, of her original remarks.

We came out WW2 bad enough with the all the damned Stalinists in the State Dept. and military, but those people could at least understand the concept of good and evil. This is just the latest face of a person (and there are millions of others) that has been educated to the point of being devoid of any common sense or grasp of concepts that a 5 year old can clearly explain to others.
Her arrogant and condescending attitude shows her ignorance.

The fact that Harf does not seem to be even capable of conceiving that the ISIS guys are living their dreams by doing the sick s—t they do is the most frightening part of this for me.
Since these progressives have no real religion, they refuse to understand those motivated by religion (true or false religion).

The real problem is that Barf actually thinks she’s smart, and if you showed her the video of her press conference, she’d think it was a stellar performance. What she needs to do is watch it in the company of a group of ordinary citizens so she could hear their laughter.
Does this mean that more of our tax dollars will be sent to Muslim terrorists and the like so that they can create ‘jobs’?
This administration is totally off the charts insane.
If the Republican Party were actually a Constitutional party these dysfunctionals could be removed fairly easily by defunding their agencies completely until the Sultan is out of office, then eliminating them.
