Maybe it’s a disease. Nonetheless, I’m sure she was hand-picked.

She wouldn’t know a terrorist if she were kneeling in front of one with a blade pressed against her neck...

The best advice, is when she is digging herself a hole, stop digging. That idiot keeps digging the hole deeper. She sounds more stupid everytime she runs her fat mouth. If anyone had a doubt that she is a moron, she opens her mouth, and removes all doubt.

It would be fascinating to see the internal memos and emails regarding Administration talking points around this question. It is clear that a policy directive has been imposed. Administration talkers are being held to a party line, and a pretty stupid one at that. It is a high art to go out day after day, with a straight face, and deny reality. Very few people are good at it. Marie Harf isn't one of them. This does not necessarily reflect poorly on her. She is just not a very accomplished liar.

I'm a bit reminded of Mike McCurry, back in Clinton days, going out day after day to face a press that didn't believe a word he said. The big difference in that instance is that most of the press was also in protect-Clinton mode, and they let McCurry off relatively easy. While we made great mock of him, most of us recognized that it's hard to go out and play the fool on a daily basis. People in that position really should quit, but not being wealthy they get trapped by job and career considerations.
