who created social security? Medicaid and Medicare? The “war on poverty” etc etc?

SS? 1936. My grandparent’s generation. Medicare? 1965. I was old enough to be shot at but still two years away from voting. War on poverty? Same year. Sorry, hate to be blaming the Greatest Generation but those things are on them.
