COPENHAGEN Europe, a continent long known for the rarity of gun violence, is confronting twin challenges that give the issue sudden urgency: a growing population of radicalized young men determined to strike targets close to home, and a black market awash in high-powered weapons.
The problem has been rendered vividly in recent weeks by a pair of deadly assaults that each paralyzed a European capital. In Paris and Copenhagen, the attacks were carried out by former small-time criminals turned violent extremists who obtained military-grade illicit weapons with apparent ease.

In the case of the Paris attackers, they were able to obtain an entire arsenal: AK-47 assault rifles, pistols, a Skorpion submachine gun and even a rocket-propelled grenade launcher. All of it was purchased in Brussels for about $5,000, according to Belgian media reports.

Look how well no guns works for Mexico.
Funny thing about criminals....they always find a gun : )
When guns in Europe is outlawed, only European outlaws will have guns.
That’s because they do not get them legally.
European police are under-equipped and outgunned.
And thanks to gun control, Europe’s sheeple are ripe for the slaughter.
If bad guys can smuggle in thousands of pounds of heroin, cocaine, and pot, they can smuggle in a few AK-47s - the fun full-auto kind.
Keeping Aunt Millie from buying a Glock isn’t going to change that.
“Europe, a continent long known for the rarity of gun violence,”
I guess WW’s 1 and 2, the balkans /serbia etc don’t count.
Europe is the liberal wet dream for gun control.
Until it doesn’t work. Oops
“If bad guys can smuggle in thousands of pounds of heroin, cocaine, and pot, they can smuggle in a few AK-47s - the fun full-auto kind.
“Keeping Aunt Millie from buying a Glock isnt going to change that.”
You are correct but it will keep Aunt Mille 100% beholden to the popo and a benevolent government for her protection. She will need of course to vote for every conceivable law. regulation, tax increase, or revenue enhancement that comes along to fund pensions, benefits, salaries, and perks so that our heros can protect and serve.
Obtaining guns is easy if one breaks the law...duh.
If I intend to murder a bunch of ‘folks’ at a market; why would I worry about the gun laws?
Or smuggling laws?
Anti- second amendment is what is getting CNN stirred up about the man who shot the woman in her home over road rage.
They want to draw the comparison that therefore guns are no good for us too.
That’s the way it always is.
Laws just keep the law abiding from doing or getting something.
They do not inhibit criminals.
Screw CNN. What do you expect from a bunch of moonbat gun grabbers?
Since you mentioned the road rage case in Las Vegas, FOX Radio News reported at 4 PM Eastern time that Las Vegas Metro has the home of a suspect surrounded. They’re calling on him to surrender. We’ll see how that goes.
CNN are absolutely deranged about citizens owning gun protection. They think owning guns make people go berserk.
BO made a remark the other day that no religion was responsible for violence.
People are responsible for violence and terrorism.
They should use the same logic about guns. Guns are not responsible for violence. Those damned terrorist are.
Wapo admitting Gun control doesn’t work PING!
Those with a support supplier group or support state can get the weapons in. The problem is that those with no support are left helpless and unable to defend themselves. Europe has eviscerated itself.
As is always the case - the little guy gets screwed.
