I have wondered for a while now: Did the people that lived in the 1700-1800’s were large?

They had wood to chop, homes to build, farms to run, cities to build, railroad to make, roads to build, they were busy people right?

Then if they were ‘fit’ then this ‘modern’ age of cars, trains, technology, etc....and we don’t work on farms anymore like they used to, our women don’t walk like they used to and our kids don’t help with the housework, farm work, walking to school, then maybe that’s the problem?
We don’t get enough exercise and eat to much? Is sugar the real problem?

Just a thought.....

People in the US are obese because they do not get any exercise. It has less to do with diet than we think.

I suggest we tax lattes and cappucinos. May plaid unijammies.

Will anyone be surprised 50 years down the road when they discover that the “war on obesity” is as successful as the war on poverty?
