Florist, 70, facing 'ruin' rejects state's '30 pieces of silver'

'You chose to attack my faith … to threaten my very means of eating'

A Washington state florist facing “ruin” for her decision not to support same-sex “marriage” through her business has rejected out of hand an offer to settle a state claim of discrimination against her.

As WND reported this week, Benton County Superior Court Judge Alex Ekstrom authorized the state and the homosexual plaintiffs to pursue the business and personal assets of Barronelle Stutzman, including her home, in payment of damages and attorneys’ fees.

The Alliance Defending Freedom confirmed Ekstrom granted a summary judgment in the case against Stutzman, meaning it will not proceed to trial. A trial had been scheduled for March 23. But the ADF said it would be appealed.

Last month, Ekstrom ruled Stutzman was personally was liable for the claims against her, placing her business assets, her home and personal savings at risk.

The judge ordered this week that the state and the homosexual plaintiffs, each of whom filed lawsuits, could collect damages and attorneys’ fees from Stutzman.

forced to accept sin

Yep. Day in and day out. Acceptance of sin is taught to our children in schools, forced on us by our government and neglected (sometimes even preached) by our church leaders. We are exposed to it on TV programs 24/7 and in modern literature and movies. After a while the once discerning mind just gives in ... that is the goal of Satin, to get us to just give in.

Better to lose it all in one dice roll, rather then to somebody who was out to ruin your life.

Changing flooring and found water damage and black mold on a kitchen base cabinet.

Solution: take it out, chop it up, burn it in the furnace.

What can we do to help her?

And what possible “damages” could there have been for these whackos to get everything she has! The judge should be disbarred.

The ones forcing the Gay tyranny here have only limited immunity not absolute. They need to look at how the KKK was broken. That being said, the victim here has a great case to sue for the government violating her rights, under the 1st she has violations of the state making a law respecting a religion and prohibiting the free expression (see Hobby Lobby) . Under the 4th she has a taking without due process; under the 6th she was denied a jury trial; under the 8th she was subjected to cruel and unusual punishment (excessive damages), under the 13th she is being forced to perform labor against her will, under the 14th she was targeted because of her Christian belief unlike for example other religions such as Muslims.

I really hope she gets a pit0bull team of attorneys and goes Rico on them with the CRA, etc.

This woman deserves the help of every patriot. We will donate to a crowd funding site for her if there is one. Remember: We will all hang together or we will hang separately.

If they were incorporated and this is allowed the whole concept of business law in the US is up for grabs.

What would happen if the owner had a 10% surcharge on all wedding contracts, to be donated to some “get out of homosexuality organization”. This would be stated in the contract and would be charged to all parties homosexual or not?

Thoughts?

She said she would gladly make a flower arrangement for homosexuals but not for a homosexual ‘wedding’. That would draw her into ‘celebrating’ an abominable sin. That’s where the line is drawn.

Same with wedding musicians, wedding cake decorators, wedding designers. These are in fact ‘artists’ who celebrate marriage as sanctified by God. It is not for homosexuals any more than a women’s restroom is for men to walk into and gawk about.

What church leaders? If they were leaders they’d be giving the woman some of the millions they bring in every day so she could fight this to the bitter end. PLUS, they’d be asking people to show up in front of her house to protect her.

Shows the insane state of our legal system. What damages? Could they not call another, more accommodating florist? From what I’ve seen, there are plenty of florists who would fill this order. No, they deliberately sought out this woman because of her religious beliefs. When I was younger, just about every business had a sign stating they reserved the right to refuse business to anyone. While the original intent may have been wrong, I used it to refuse service to rowdy or drunk patrons in businesses for which I worked.

This decision must be fought. As someone has already said, it’s time to counter sue and some organization needs to review prior decisions by this judge. There was a time when my native state outlawed lawyers. I think we may be approaching that time again.

I have read she is defended by Alliance Defending Freedom and they plan to appeal. Please pray for this God fearing woman. I pray she will prevail. This is the evil, sinful rot that will bring this country down.
