I have a daughter on the autistic spectrum. One year she had about six kids over for a birthday sleepover (12th birthday or so). At about 10:00pm, all of the kids except for one decided to leave and sleep over at another one of the kid's houses. Not like it was boring here, as we had a projector hooked up, plenty of snacks, music, etc.

The kids were all downstairs, my wife and I were watching TV upstairs, and suddenly out the door they all went.

So heartbreaking. My daughter just cried her eyes out for a hour or so up in her room. I felt sorry for the poor kid who stuck with her. The kid said herself that it was a crappy thing to do and that she would never do that to someone.

I think this has affected her to this day (She's turning 18). Never had any more than one or two girlfriends since.....lots of boyfriends though, lol.
