Ah, the NY Times stands tall in the face of one guy pointing out the obvious. First Giuliani was a racist for saying so, now they've dredged up some old campaign statements that every politician infesting the country has to say as a matter of course. The truth is that 0bama, like most race hucksters community organizers, has made a career out of belittling his country and casting it in the most negative light possible. He made an enormous splash traveling overseas to apologize for America's many past sins. But no, we are told by the Times, believe us, not your own lying ears. These guys never change.

In fact, several of Mr. Obama’s most emphatic expressions of patriotism appear in close proximity to his critiques of America.

The “emphatic expressions of patriotism” are only there to provide plausible deniability against charges that the critiques issue from a lack of patriotism. Obama is tricksy and employed those lines strictly for camouflage. His heart is in the critique, and everybody knows it. Which is precisely why this issue exists and strikes nerves.

In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if the ONLY examples of Obama mouthing “emphatic” patriotic-sounding verbiage are in speeches where he is critiquing the country.
