I didn't watch it last night, but from clips I saw, the two highlights of the night was,

1.Lady Gaga playing it straight in a 4 minute performance honoring The Sound of Music, and Julie Andrews

2. J.K. Simmons (State Farm Insurance guy)acceptance speech

The head hackers or muslims don’t care what style of dress you affect - they care that you are not them and so a kafir to be put to death ...

McCarthy was right about Hollyweird.

Here in rural SWMO it cost $9.75 for 1 ticket to a movie, probably cheaper than most cities. Redbox cost about $1.50 and the snacks I make at home are a lot cheaper. Seldom is there a movie that justifies the expense, the last movie I saw in the theater was God's Not Dead, and my wife and I went to support that just to support a Christian movie.

Hollywood has been dead to me for a long time; I don't really miss it.

I don't need to be lectured about current events by a bunch of folks who barley got out of high school.

For the next five years they should pull out the A-listers and make them sit patiently, while every single Oscar is awarded to a minority, no matter how small or bad their artistic achievement.

Nothing could kill the Oscars faster.

I think the voting was before the movie was released. There is no way they would vote for a movie that goes against their Iraq war view. They all cried when the Syrian was killed.

My wife went to see it with her Sorority ladies. She walked out in disgust - every other word was “F this and F that…”

If the movie itself didn’t influence the jurors, an Oscar award couldn’t do much.

America voted with its money, and “American Sniper” won, taking in more money than all the lame Hollywood “winners” combined. This is why the Leftist shills on stage last night are ignored by most Americans.

I’ve always liked Michael Keaton. Even at the height of his fame in the late 1980s, he seemed down-to-earth and like a nice guy. So even if Birdman is a huge POS, I’m happy he’s getting good recognition from it.

He is my favorite actor. He lives in MT and I would not be surprised if he is very picky about what acting roles he will do. Been a fan of his since his “Batman” days.

Not surprised that the Legos song showed a gentleman dressed like the Keaton version of “Batman”.

Who cares about the Oscars? It’s just one more display of Hollyweird having sex with itself while it services Liberal wet dreams.

As far as income equality goes, at least they all got the same “swag bag”, worth an estimate $160K this year.....
