McConnell ready to move ‘clean’ bill to avert Homeland Security shutdown

McConnell noted the Senate is scheduled to vote Friday on legislation he introduced this week to reverse President Obama's 2014 executive order shielding up to 5 million illegal immigrants from deportation. If that vote goes forward, it could be followed by a vote on legislation funding the Homeland Security agency.

What does that mean "if the vote goes forward?"

What if Democrats filibuster and it fails cloture? Will he still bring the DHS spending bill to the floor?

He has just showed,again, that he has no regard for American workers. Vetoed Keystone. Killing thousands of high-paying jobs. Sure it's only for a couple years but, if a man has not worked for the last six years, $100,000.00 in a matter of two years is a LOT of money. How is that not in "the National Interest?".

How can he do that?? The Republicans now control the Senate. Could the Republicans exert that much power when they were the minority??
