I hope you have lots of nice warm blankets or quilts to snuggle up in till it warms up a bit.
Our furnace was like that till it gave out and we had to spring for a new one. Cha-ching! But ours is AC, too, and we couldn’t live without that in the West Texas summers, so we coughed up the $$$. *gulp*
I don’t think I’d survive the kind of winters that the Northeast has had this year! I’m too cold-natured!
Stay warm!
So the man that time was different and said I needed a new filter (this one was 2 weeks in there). I saw how it was bowed when he brought it up and knew it wasn't good for the new motor so worth the service call. Then he said he had filters but would have to charge me $8 for one. I said well I didn't know how soon I could get to where I could get some so I will pay it (I got a bad scare when it quit when it was getting so cold). Then he relented and said I could have it.
Now my daughter found me some they recommended, the fiberglass kind el cheapo at Home Depot so I'm good for awhile. And I'm better about changing them than I used to be.
I've never been shut in this long but I don't like going out when it's so cold although I do have ski pants and put on lots of layers which really helps when I have to go out. There is thick ice by my garbage can. I have these cleat things I got and did get the garbage out on that ice, had to walk super carefully anyway, risk my darn life to take the garbage out, a week ago but my daughter came late this past Sunday and was going to take it out and I said well it would be bad if you fell on that ice back there so I'll wait. Younger people can get hurt bad on ice, too.
