When you look at the long list of Mr. Pachauris disingenuities and evasions, you might be inclined to ask why one more (alleged) example of sleaziness would make any difference. Still, all those other economies with the truth were in a noble cause: saving the planet from capitalism.
It was also intriguing to see Mr. Pachauris attempt at what might be called The Climategate diversionary manoeuvre. Forget the incriminating communications. The important thing is that they were hacked by cyber criminals. Who did it, and who paid them? Could it be the evil fossil fuel industry?
When, in 2005, IPCC hurricane expert Dr. Chris Landsea went to Mr. Pachauri to complain that another prominent IPCC scientist/mouthpiece, Kevin Trenberth, had misrepresented his findings during a widely-publicized news conference, Mr. Pachauri brushed him off. Dr. Landsea resigned, noting that the IPCC process had been subverted and compromised.
When Indian scientists pointed out that IPCC projections of the Himalayan glaciers disappearing by 2035 were nonsense, Mr. Pachauri attacked their voodoo science. Then it was revealed that the melting projections were voodoo, and had come off the top of the head of a scientist who wound up working for Mr. Pachauri. Glaciergate confirmed that Mr. Pachauris claim that everything in IPCC reports was peer-reviewed was monumental bunk. A subsequent review of the IPCC by the InterAcademy Council, an organization of national science academies, accused Mr. Pachauri of political advocacy. The review was buried without trace.
Pachauris resignation letter on Tuesday, aptly described by blogger Donna Laframboise as a two-page love letter to himself, moved from effrontery to gag-worthiness with its claim that For me the protection of Planet Earth, the survival of all species and sustainability of our ecosystems is more than a mission. It is my religion and my dharma.
Dharma is apparently all about cosmic order and obligation.
Is it not embarrassing for the IPCC to have its leader of thirteen years admit that he was motivated not by scientific objectivity but by religion?

Good riddance to bad garbage.
Glowbull Warming is voodoo. Frankly voodoo has more credibility than the Climate Hoax.
AGW hoax ping
In any sane organization this Rasputin freak show would have been sacked a month after he was hired. Instead they stuck with him for 13 years until he was forced to resign for being a slime bag with the ladies he hired. The UN sure knows how to pick their leaders!
