Do you think Obama and whoever his BF is at the moment is sparking one up as we speak?
I guarantee the Secret Service has been scoring whores, booze, dope, butts, whatever for POTUS’s for decades.
Have you seen “Absolute Power” with Clint Eastwood and Gene Hackman?
The Secret Service in that movie cover up the President’s murder of his mistress and try to assassinate Eastwood.
Oh, and there's no evidence of any significant black market in alcohol despite its illegality for kids.
Okay, what exactly is your point or position, and where is you see my position in relation to your’s. I’m lost as to the entire point.
We are a political action group simply geared to help people who can medically benefit from this drug, to include veterans. Actual Legislation is being presented to members of the US Congress, Senate and both NC houses for their sponsorship.
I don’t drink alcohol but I do know that in moderation it has health benefits, and that too much, alcohol abuse, ruins lives. So, to answer the question, it should remain illegal for under 21, and society shouldn’t glorify heavy or binge drinking. BUT since society will do as it wants and there’s no legislation that will cure this mindset, and since you can’t take away people’s rights to it, there’s nothing to do except public service announcements and the like...I don’t equate alcohol with smoking weed though because if you do that you’re starting down the slippery slope.
What about cigars?
Is it OK with you if I smoke cigars?
I really need to know.
People have no less right to marijuana than to alcohol - rights are not granted by government.
I dont equate alcohol with smoking weed though because if you do that youre starting down the slippery slope.
Nobody "equates" any two drugs - each has its own set of effects. But nothing about marijuana makes it more proper or effective to ban it than to ban alcohol.
those ages 21 or older, with consumption allowed only in private homes and space.

A possible conundrum is brewing in regards to this...
The local DC ABC Outlet (WJLA 7) has been running a promo on its consumer rights branch that has a Man basically on the verge of being evicted for smoking CIGARETTES in his home because it ‘offends’ a neighbor. From what the ‘teaser’ has shown it looks like he probably lives in an apartment or duplex.
Wonder how this will fit with the MJ law because the ONLY legal place to smoke it is in ‘Private home or space’.
Unless of course they are referring to single family dwellings - which are few and far between when it comes to where the ‘masses’ reside.....
The big enchilada - ending mj prohibition in DC - was accomplished by a 70%-30% margin.
Can’t say I have a lot of sympathy for DC. They serve as an abject lesson in what life under direct control of federal government would be like for the rest of us, lest people start getting the idea the republic has outlived it’s usefulness.
DC reminds me of the phrase, ‘sent hither swarms of officers’. Let those folks torment themselves, just leave the rest of us alone!
