Tom Cole (Okla.) A close ally of Boehner, Cole argues the party should let the fight over Obamas actions play out in the courts so the party can avoid a political hit. Let's not continue the exercise when there's nothing to be gained and a great deal to be lost, he said.

BUMP
Thanks for keeping us updated on the state of the...
Why update? This is just more liberal claptrap by a liberal rag, The Hill. The real secret on all of this is the Democrats in panic. The media portraying the GOP schisms is devised to cloak the Democrats never wanting to vote to fund what they themselves say is an unconstitutional action. It’s the Straw Man, used again and again.
Tom Cole’s statement is pitiful and a total abdication oh his oath of office and Congressional responsibility.
The dirtiest trick the Congress—BOTH parts—plays on the American voter is piling multiple items into a bill.
The public NEVER knows exactly what is hidden inside these compound bills.
There is absolutely NO shortage of numbers for bills.
I believe that there should be a law AGAINST any multiple part or compound bill.
Every bill should stand on it’s own & there should be no ‘coat-tailing’ of an unpopular bill being attached to a necessary bill.
It is totally fraudulent, IMO.
A CLEAN bill is one that strips out illegal executive actions.
A CLEAN bill stands for the rule of law.
A bill that lets the president illegally hand out legal status to illegal aliens in direct violation of the law, is a DIRTY bill.
A DIRTY bill is one that lets the Democrats do by executive fiat what they couldn’t do when they held Congress!
What exactly is a "Clean Bill"? I think I keep hearing they would remove
the funding for Illegals out of the Homeland Security Bill.
No side issues. If this is so why would this not be a good thing?
Remove the l in split and we’re just about there.
That’s a SMOOTH cave......
And he WILL put one on the floor if he has to break every arm in the caucus...or go down trying.
His masters INSIST. They will measure him by this act alone and will apportion future favor based on the outcome.
Why do people vote GOP?
Because they are stupid.
I am stupid no more and when this vote clears the House I will swear eternal enmity to the GOP and endeavor endlessly for their defeat in every election, primary and general.
I ask all here to make the same pledge...because: First the GOP must Die. Everything Else Comes After That.
Well put.
And the media coverage of this will include polls that ask “Do you approve of the Republicans shutting down DHS to block Obama’s plan?”
But none that ask “Do you approve of the Democrats shutting down DHS to preserve Obama’s plan?”
... or variations of same.
Then Boehner will say: “We’re getting the blame-look at these polls!”
There’s a letter from 20 House members opposing a “clean” bill. Seems they should already be on this ‘whip list’.
“Cole argues the party should let the fight over Obamas actions play out in the courts so the party can avoid a political hit.”
Jellyfish without spine.
It’s “Devil’s Cave”, which seems particularly appropriate considering the nature of the cavers and what they are caving to.
Yet it seems that the right buys the hype all the time. Easy way the Dems have to manipulate whenever they wan
Why not just fund all of DHS EXECPT for Immigration Dept - that way you isolate the cancer ...
The GOP can’t take a political hit, so they are going to let America take an existential deathblow.
MAN, I HATE THESE SCURRYING. LITTLE ****ING A** COCKROACHES!!!!
(I apologize for my language, I am at the end of my rope)
Kabuki theater
Yet it seems that the right buys this hype all the time. Easy way the Dems can manipulate the right whenever they want.
1. Vote Democrat
2. Vote third party, thus assuring a Democrat victory
3. Don't vote, thus assuring a Democrat victory
4. Vote for the most conservative of the candidates, but never a Republican (see #'s 2 and 3 above, because the Dem will never be the most conservative in any race)
So which option is it you would like us to pledge our support?
