The top U.S. intelligence official said Thursday that he supports arming Ukrainian forces against Russian-backed separatists, as the Obama administration continues deliberations about whether to deepen involvement in a conflict pitting the West against Russian President Vladimir Putin.

James Clapper, the director of national intelligence, said providing weapons to Ukraine would likely trigger a "negative reaction" from the Russian government. Western officials are hoping that Moscow will ensure that separatists stick to a European-brokered cease-fire that took effect this month.

Ah, so the oligarchs are getting antsie. The collapse conditions are not aligning as rapidly as they had hoped with their previous arrangements, so they are going to nudge the process by drawing the US into a cataclysmic war with Russia, and therefore China, also. The book description of the aligning nations seems to be clearing up ... the 300,000,000 army sweeping in from the North of Palestine is forming up.

I believe sending hardware in there would be a huge mistake. If we do, we had better be ready for war. As soon Russian tanks start getting blown to hell by Javelin Missile systems, Russian regulars will invade in great numbers, NATO will get involved, and the whole thing will rapidly escalate from there to God only knows where.

Too bad we didn’t keep some Pershing 1A and II missiles to give to Ukraine. That would get Puty-Put’s attention!

Well, we could have just let Ukraine keep about 10 of what they had, and Putin’s boys would have been told to stay home...
