So what. Blame the Republicans. If we are going to loose our rights and constitution, I would rather go down fighting. Not curled up in the corner shivering in fear.
You said it. No matter what happens, the media is going to find fault with Republicans. So do what is right and just, push back at the media with both barrels and serve your constituents.

I suspect that Boehner rigged this to fail. This gives him a pretext to cave. He will now bring forward a bill funding DHS to the end of the year, collect Dem votes, and pass it.

I wonder if illegals will be massing at the border in anticipation of no Border Patrol. Only if they are listening to Democrat and media propaganda. The vast majority of DHS employees are considered "essential" which means that they continue to work. Only the admin types are going to sit at home.

Throw out the filibuster in the senate, then pass the DHS funding without the funds for the amnesty, and make Obama veto it.
