I read Malcolm X's autobiography many years ago, and I actually have a lot of respect for the guy, although I don't agree with his viewpoints on most things. But he wasn't afraid to stand up for what he believed in.

That's what got him killed by the nation of islam. He was doubting his faith and doubting the whole black nationalism movement. He called them mindless robots.

I agree...I read it years ago and a lot of it was quite surprising to me.
He educated himself at a prison library.
A very smart guy....followed by the likes of Al Sharpton.
