In their meeting in the North Atlantic, Roosevelt and Churchill attended Sunday morning services on board the HMS Prince of Wales.
Churchill was asked to select the hymns for the service. One of them was “Onward Christian Soldiers”. I have seen film of the service and both of them were singing it by heart tho Roosevelt did glance at the hymnal a couple of times.
