Also, this is the current highest rated reader comment on the UK site, from a reader in Dallas TX name Darryl Willis:

"Let me get this straight, if a guy has been an alcoholic he can't challenge others to give up drinking unless he does a mea culpa every time he speaks? Even though he may have not touched a drop in 20 or 30 years? That's holding the speaker to an impossibly high standard--like um, perfection. Just because he didn't bring up his past doesn't mean he can't speak to the issue. Is he currently unfaithful? If he is that would be hypocrisy. While I don't follow Duck Dynasty and generally don't make comments about them it just seems to me that if a person confronts popular culture he or she is held to a different standard. From what I know of Phil and clan, he believes sincerely in grace and forgiveness and would probably hold out forgiveness to anyone regardless of the behavior. Disagree with the man if you will, disagree with his controversial statements. But don't hold him to a different standard than the standard you hold of a friend who agrees with you."

Humanity has not changed since the ancient days. The sinful spend a great portion of their time and energy engaging in lust, violence, greed, and all the rest, and the rest of their energy attacking anyone who points out the Truth about their own sinful condition. Without the mercy of God, we are all lost.

Well said. In fact, when it comes to alcohol and drug use, there is nobody more qualified to condemn it and issue warnings than the reformed addict.

If someone who had never consumed alcohol went around lecturing about the perils of it, the same bunch would disqualify him to speak because of his lack of exposure and experience.

RULE 4: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.”

If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules. (This is a serious rule. The besieged entity’s very credibility and reputation is at stake, because if activists catch it lying or not living up to its commitments, they can continue to chip away at the damage.)

In the liberal mind a hypocrite is somebody who has made mistakes, learned from them and wishes to share their hard-earned wisdom with others in order that those others might be spared the same pain and suffering.

God didn’t create us perfect...

He gave us free will so we can make the choices that will define our souls.

The devil taunts us with the lie that to challenge his filth we must be perfect. Liberals have picked up his mantra. Consider the source...
