These Sunday shows are really a joke. Who watches them anymore (except for the DC bubbleheads)?
Bibi’s will be the first speech to a joint session of Congress I will have watched in quite a few years, and that does go back even before Obama.
Hi AB - FYI
I agree with you that the line-up of guests is usually less than optimal for conservatives, Alas Babylon! has been doing a weekly thread on FR for a number of years. And, while the number of posts has decreased quite a bit over the years, it’s almost always an interesting and often fun discussion.
Check it out sometime - it’s in Breaking News starting early Sunday mornings (around 5:30 a.m. PT).
Best,
SC
Over 10 million watched the 4 network shows last week.
A little curious to see John Boehner defend Bibi’s speech on CBS.
Usually when Netanyahu is in town he goes on one or more of these shows, but this time he’s skipping them.
February 22 ratings:
Network Program Total Viewers A25-54
CBS Face the Nation 3.25M 961K
NBC Meet the Press 3.27M 910K
ABC This Week 2.45M 688K
FOX Fox News Sunday 1.26M 397K
What war will commence when Bibi begins to speak?
How many cable networks are being threatened with no administration access if they cover the speech?
My guess is that none of the anchors has the stones to invite him, in light of president Obambi's "see no evil, hear no evil" policy.
The total viewership numbers seem to not count at the corporate offices. The A25-54 is the prime audience who determine what networks can charge advertisers and corporate sponsors.
I do recall that through Russert’s time, viewership frequently hit 5 million.

One of the big problem with the Sunday morning talkies is that they have the same ole ‘guests’ week after week, year after year. They used to set the tone for the news of the week that followed. Now, they regurgitate pablum from the previous week.
Will do.
