Sugar and baking soda 50/50 will kill ants.

Earth to Washington Post: Maybe you should tell your readers that the spike in throat cancer is linked to a certain sexual activity which is avoidable.

you are really clueless about medical research.

NO.. NO.. NO!!! I'm NOT clueless.

Big Pharma, through the FDA, dictates what happens in the marketplace for the most part.

The millions poured into RESEARCH is based on GETTING it BACK 100 fold.

INEXPENSIVE remedies are shoved aside and into the background as "cult medicine cures." or "unproven."

I'm NOT disagreeing that medical research on "peppers" isn't worthwhile. I'm saying that no matter how successful the results may be the outcome is usually that if it CANNOT produce the multi-BILLIONS and MILLIONS in monetary return that Big Pharma demands and pursues it intentionally gets LOST in the shuffle.

Could it be that you're being a bit "naive" and it's you that is "clueless?"

A neighbor of mine worked as a rep for a major pharma co for over 25 years, and the stuff he told all of us about how docs threw away the literature on side effects, contraindications and addiction that he was required to hand to them on every drug, the trips to tropical resorts they earned for prescribing/selling the most drugs to patients, the bonuses that he made by convincing all his MD customers to buy, but, buy, etc. He never touched a drug, even though he had a sample of just about everything in his possession, which told me I’d been doing the right thiung all my life...

30 years ago, I remember following the plight of Dr. Burzynski in Houston when reading some articles on alternative medicine curing aggressive brain cancers in pediatric patients.

Because of his use of alternative cancer treatments, the FDA raided and destroyed his offices and laboratory, hounded and arrested his patients; the list of hardships this man endured goes on and on. He recovered his business several times with the help of grateful patients he'd treated. Why did the FDA do this? Because Dr. Burzynski's treatments of various cancers had such a high success rate while the current conventional methods had a terrible cure rate.

Eventually, he won against the FDA in court...but even so, the FDA told him they would continue their vigil unless he began offering "conventional" cancer treatments as well as the alternative methods he had developed.

It's definitely a big money industry and they don't like competition.

His research involved antineoplaston therapy. His website is www.burzynskiclinic.com. If you google his name, you’ll find all the info you need. Happy reading! :)

Yes, thank you, I am planning on doing some research. However, it is always helpful to get pointers from those who have previously looked into a subject to better focus on what they might have gleaned rather than attempting to re-invent the wheel. They might have better-referenced sources than a general search would turn up, thus saving some time and effort.

Plus, the fact that I had not heard before about this doctor might indicate that information about this individual is not all that readily available to the general public, so some specific pointers to the work done to date would be quite beneficial, I am certain.

Freedom? What am I missing here? My Post didn’t advocate the Government getting involved, but I know people who live in a fantasy world where they think some magic herb will kill their Cancerous Tumor.

A close friend is battling Breast Cancer with what I consider “Voodoo” Enzyme Treatments, and she is losing. It’s none of my business, it’s her Life.

If you don’t go the Doctor, are they coming to your House to force you to go for Treatment now? I am advocating the idea that People can choose to be stupid. That’s freedom.

I have been battling Leukemia for nearly ten years. If I decided to refuse treatment, that’s my business. In fact, things have made a turn for the worse and Chemotherapy is becoming much less effective in maintaining my Blood levels. Up till now, it has kept my disease at bay. If I hadn’t gone for proven Treatment when I was first Diagnosed, I would have died five years ago.

I may have to decide very soon if I want to go ahead with a Bone Marrow Transplant, a very unpleasant experience that could end up killing me sooner than if I did nothing.

It will be my choice to do it or not. That is my Freedom of choice and I have it now without getting permission from the Government.

I will assume that you misread the intent of my earlier Post. I have faith in proven Treatments, not in silly ideas that have never worked out. What people decide for themselves is none of my business, but I can express an opinion on their choice, which is all that I am doing.

I don’t think another Law is needed, just as you do.
We are on the same side of this issue.

If we had REAL Free Market Healthcare, things would cost what the market would bear. None of those $5 Aspirins while you were in the Hospital.

Once the Government got involved, we were doomed.
