Former US secretary: Netanyahu speech ‘poisoning’ ties (Robert Reich joins the anti-Bibi onslaught)

Former US labor secretary Robert Reich offered sharp criticism of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday, saying that the premiere’s intention address Congress on Tuesday, against the wishes of the White House, was driving many US Jews to speak out against Israel when in the past they may have remained silent, and that the speech was “poisoning the relationship” between Israel and the US

In a post to his Facebook page, Reich, who was secretary during the Clinton administration from 1993 to 1997, appealed not to Netanyahu, but rather to the people of Israel, and warned them that the prime minister was meddling in internal US politics.

“You should know that the new-found alliance between your prime minister and our Republican Party, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, and some wealthy right-wing Jews here (such as billionaire Sheldon Adelson), is poisoning the relationship between Israel and the United States,” wrote Reich, who is Jewish.

“Netanyahu’s decision to address Congress on Tuesday to argue against a nuclear deal with Iran that’s one of the president’s highest priorities, and also to speak to AIPAC – just two weeks before your own national elections – foists your own domestic politics onto ours,” he wrote.

Reich said that the speech, which is scheduled for Tuesday, was driving Americans, among them many in the Jewish community, to turn against Israel. Netanyahu is expected to try to sway Congress against President Barack Obama’s push to seal an agreement on Iran’s nuclear program.

“It is having a polarizing effect here in the United States, pushing many Americans to side against Israel, and thereby posing a long-term threat to Israel’s security,” he said.

went out with a Jewish NY woman years ago. Back in 2008 I was talking to her about the fairy in chief and she told me that he would be a better friend to Israel than McCain and if people did not agree or put down her fairy boy then we were NAZIS.
She was never left wing until she married a Jewish NY lawyer who moved her to Chappaqua to be near the Clintons.

Debating the speech is a distraction.
The real issue is “”How is it beneficial to anyone that Iran have nuclear weapon capacity?”.
It certainly does not benefit the USA even if we follow BHO’s most isolationist rhetoric.

That question is easy to answer: Because Obama is an islamic “mahdi” believer. I think he even believes he may be the “mahdi.” islam believes that for the “mahdi” to appear that chaos , destruction , and death must first grip the world. They know that by giving Iran the bomb the Iranian government is willing to let it disappear , or give it to a terrorist group, to detonate it in a major influential western city. Which will sow chaos, and death for billions around the world. So he can either: Allow whoever the “mahdi” is to step forward, or step forward himself claiming the title.

I must say that there seems to be some charm to this man to those that do not believe in Jesus Christ. Almost supernatural. I often find it very strange that his supporters cannot see through this man, or refuse to believe it, even the most rational or intelligent. A Jewish couple moved into our high rise. Friendly at first, they became very distant after I said admiring things about Israel in general & Bibi Netanyahu in particular.

Down South, pro-Israel Gentiles are often seen as Bible thumpers awaiting the End Times. We want prayer back in public schools & that’s fanatical, too.
