No substantive changes have occurred. We have had de facto amnesty for a couple of decades. 0bama just declared it slightly more officially, if unconstitutionally.

What part of the previous horde of invaders did Walker oppose?

The problem here is that events never changed. Illegal immigration, which was illegal when Walker came out favoring a path to citizenship, is still illegal now. Only Walker has changed, at least on the surface.
