Boris Nemtsov murder: Putin now governs mostly through terror and propaganda
The Telegraph ^ | 28 Feb 15 | Ben Judah

Vladimir Putin has ruled Russia with three things: money, propaganda and terror. When the Russian economy was booming and the oil price was over $100 a barrel, Putin ruled Russia almost entirely with money – throwing cash at the elites and at the people – with a small dose of propaganda and a tiny injection here and there of terror. Now the money is running out, the equation has shifted. Today, Russia is ruled mostly through propaganda and terror.

Boris Nemtsov took not a step nor a breath that wasn't under the intense surveillance of the FSB. Just like all opposition leaders in Russia. Nothing Boris Nemtsov did was not bugged, tailed, filmed or monitored by the secret police. It is quite simply impossible that this man could have been shot dead without the Kremlin knowing there was a plot afoot to kill him.

This means the murder of Boris Nemtsov was either ordered or allowed to happen: which come to exactly the same thing. That he could be killed like this has shaken the oligarchs and the officers of the Russian elite to their core.

Given the level of surveillance, a false-flag op which got past Russian security would flip them out.

Tyrants don’t do things “because the have to”.

Tyrants do things because they can.

If they’re the same, then I hope you oppose them both for the same reasons.

"A politician with 85% popular support doesn’t need to murder political opponents..."

Sadaam Hussein and Hugo Chavez regularly got like 99% of the vote in their "elections" and they murdered political opponents all the time. Can you think of any politician in America that ever had 85% popular support? That alone should make you suspicious....

What do you expect, from the former head of the nastiest intelligence organization in the world, and who is also a Stalinist?

You're right. Having a Ukrainian girlfriend is certainly a likely provacation for murder.

Anything any government, even our own, does is through the threat of deadly force for non-compliance.

Liberals never want to admit this, but it’s a truth that needs to be kept in mind whenever anyone says
“there oughta be a law”, or in the case of liberals,
“the gov’t should DO something!”

The one person in the world I could think of easily with some sort of a real motive for it (as a false flag) would be Victoria Nuland, who also would have the wherewithal for such a thing.

The Russian opposition (the two percenters) are saying that Putin was not involved.....

I see a few similarities between this case and Princess Diana’s car accident. For example, it was also reported that CCTV cameras were not functioning in the Alma Tunnel on the night of the accident. Her bodyguard couldn’t remember much at all due to massive injuries, only that he, for some reason, fastened his seatbelt before impact. The woman walking with Nemstov on the night can’t even ID the car because of massive shock.

The person(s) who did it obviously were not amateurs. But, somehow, I don’t think we gonna get to the bottom of Nemstov’s assassination; though there will be an ‘official’ story, eventually.

I just blame the annoying CCTV cameras; seems at critical moments they just have a mind of their own & refuse to cooperate!

Security camera videos are with the FSB while investigation continues....we’d do likewise and not put them out there until determined by authorities.
