Liberals punish the weak and let the responsible party go. Should the kid drive himself?

He wasn’t misbehaving. We wouldn’t punish an adult that way, ever. They did it because they can. That doesn’t make it morally right.

My son had a football coach two years ago who made any player who was late for practice for any reason run extra laps and/or sprints.

He did not listen to the “it’s not my fault, my mom/dad didn’t get me here on time” excuse - nor any other excuse. If the boy was late, he ran. The coach never asked the moms or dads run.

At the start of the season there were a lot of kids whose moms/dads didn’t get their boys to practice on time.

A funny thing happened, though. By about two weeks in to the season almost no one had a mom/dad who didn’t get their son to practice on time.

And I’ll bet that football coach has no idea he is a liberal.

Here's the auto response I received back from the school district. Looks like some serious CYA is going on. The system realizes they screwed up now that the sun is shining on their abuse.

If your email is regarding concerns related to Lincoln Elementary, please refer to the following response: Over the past few days, there has been considerable general and social media attention regarding the Lincoln Elementary School Attendance/Tardy Catch-up Protocol. Thursday afternoon, Principal Fitzsimmons was able to meet with both parents to discuss their concerns. The meeting was productive. The parents’ concerns were politely discussed and, ultimately, the issues were resolved to the satisfaction of both the parents and the school. All parties involved believe that an appropriate resolution has been reached and are anxious to move forward with their normal daily routines.

As a result of the concerns raised, the District ended the learning catch up location at Lincoln Elementary School. Going forward, a separate, supervised classroom has been designated for necessary catch-up work. The District and Lincoln Elementary will continue to work with families on an individual basis to encourage and promote student attendance. Thank you for your concerns.
