I must have been proudly dragging kids into DSS hell for over 50 years or whatever a mandated reporter is supposed to do,when a kid suffers from lack of parental responsibility
I am a mandated reporter and I would never call DSS for a mother getting her child to school a minute late, even if she did it frequently. Hours late, maybe...minutes, never. Life happens, some can handle it, some can’t. This mother took time out of her day, after rushing her son to school to come check on him...hardly screams neglectful parent to me.
What did the first grader do to deserve to be humiliated?
