Conservatives in this country should not shy away from the debate over whether Islam should even be allowed on our soil. If it is to be allowed (not a good idea, IMHO), then we should talk about how it should be monitored and regulated.

If banning or regulating Islam requires a Constitutional amendment (based on the theory that it is a religion), then we should start drafting one.

islam is not a religion and hence not subject to Constitutional protections; legislation alone should do the trick. It's high time we had a measured, national debate on this issue.
