Thats why our boys only eat ID wet food..its for dogs with sensitive tummies

That brings up an interesting polling type question. What do Freepers feed their dogs?
To: smokingfrog
I personally know several dogs eating Beneful on a daily basis with no issues.
Some a-hole probably poisoned his dogs and it was coincidence.

We cut out the scraps by 99.999%.
Feeding our guy too much people food gave him pancreatitus. We thought we were going to lose him.
Now it's bland chicken and rice canned dog food or beef and rice canned dog food.

I feed a raw meaty bones diet... mostly ground up chicken and turkey, including the organs and bones, because I now have a little 10 lb. Havenese.
Folks who have larger dogs feed larger critters, but they avoid the weight bearing bones, as these are too hard on their teeth to properly crack them open.
Before I moved to the “twin cities”, where there is a wonderful pet food shop (online at Woody’s Pet Food Deli), I purchased the best quality chicken I could get at a better supermarket, and gave my dogs the real deal - mostly legs, wings, and sometimes breasts.
I included the organ meats, in the right proportion to the whole bird. For variety, they enjoyed canned mackerel once or twice a week, canned salmon on occasion, a few eggs, including the shell, and just a smidgen of leftover well cooked above ground veggies from time to time.
My vet bills have been nonexistent, and my dogs’ teeth do not need cleaning. They do not have that doggy smell, and their poops are small and dense. If left in the yard, they crumble away to white powder after a few days in the sun.
