I don't like leftist Norwegian attitudes. However, the Norse reacted violently to the German invasion. Forts at the mouth of the fjord leading to Oslo sank a German heavy cruiser. The Quisling movement never gained the support of more than a fraction of the population. Norse escaped in significant numbers to the UK and formed a significant part of the British Commando units. Read ‘We Die Alone’ and ‘Shetland Bus’ to get some idea of the persistent armed resistance underway against the German occupation forces.
