Scalia’s point was simply that SCOTUS should not rewrite the statute to say what the administration wants it to.
He knows full well what a bunch of embiciles are in Congress.

You totally missed his point - he made the argument that it would be OK to rule against Obama Care subsidies even if it broke the system. We have an institution in place, whose job it is to handle such issues (regardless of their capabilities). The other side is arguing that such a ruling would break things so it shouldn't be made - regardless of the fact that the deal is illegal and unconstitutional.
